It’s our birthday.
10 years today.
I’m told most businesses don’t make it this far.
It started as most businesses do; a triumph of optimism over experience.
Me, a desk in the spare room and a cunning plan. When I think about how far we’ve come, I’m incredibly thankful.
I’m thankful to my amazing wife, Nicola Hollow, for believing that I’d find a way to make it work.
I’m thankful to our amazing clients who came on the journey with us. Those brave enough to say “that totally new thing you’re talking about, sounds interesting, let’s give it a go.” Thank you:
Gabriela Gaut, Siobhan Smith, Jatin Kuckreja, Marwyn O’Keeffe, Dave Healing, Laura Coles, Lara Meyer (She/ Her), Melissa Davies, Hanne B., Adrian Ho, Tom Sil Cheung Cantle, Mark Evans, David Simoes-Brown, Emma Crowle and everyone else that space doesn’t allow me to mention.
I’ll be eternally thankful to Paul Temple for your sound advice over the years. I continue to be in awe of your ability to bring the best out of people. The phrase “do you think that could be a bit sharper” will stay with me forever.
For Debbie Baker who, out of everyone, helped me believe in me.
I’m thankful for those who mentored me over the years, whether you knew you were doing it or not. Kym Hamer, David Hieatt, Mike Coulter, Daryl Travis, Shazia Ginai, Ben Silcox, Kim van Niekerk, Caroline Florence.
And finally, of course, the biggest thank you of all.
To those who have joined me on the journey – my team, past and present.
None of this would be possible without you.
Every day, I’m amazed and humbled by your passion, creativity and staggering ability. Most of you have never even met (I’m working on that) but you’ve come together and made a safe, enlightening, supportive and energising place to be. You make me so proud and unbelievably excited for what’s to come.
As I look to the next 10 years, there are some big challenges society needs to solve.
And I believe organisations are the best mechanism for achieving this.
We’ll be there to help them find the right path.
